Hogue IP provides a variety of services from the preparation and prosecution of patent applications to managing and valuing intellectual property portfolios.
Patent Preparation & Prosecution

The foundation of any successful R&D program is broad, enforceable intellectual property. In order to obtain the broadest and most comprehensive protection possible, you need experienced patent prosecutors with an in-depth understanding of the technology that is being developed. Hogue IP hires senior-level patent agents and attorneys to represent its clients before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

To streamline operations, organizations often desire to outsource their intellectual
property management function. With our diverse experience, HIP can help
organizations manage patent procurement, enforcement, docketing, maintenance, and
file management. We can also supervise outside counsel and vendors. Our goal is to
help create and implement a cost-effective IP program.

Valuation

Intellectual property valuation is becoming increasingly sophisticated. A variety of methodologies including discounted cash flow analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, Real Options, and comparable industry transactions can be used to assess a patent or trademark's value.

We develop detailed financial models using these techniques, write reports, and
provide supporting documentation for clients engaged in litigation or seeking to
license/sell their intellectual property. We conduct extensive market research to
make sales forecasts for covered products and noninfringing alternatives.
Using advanced econometric techniques, the supply/demand characteristics of the
market(s) in which the products compete is evaluated and price erosion is modeled.
